Forecast Discussion:

A weak weather disturbance will track across northwest Mexico today into Friday. This feature, in addition to an increase in atmospheric humidity from the east, will lead to isolated to scattered afternoon thunderstorms over southeast (and east-central) AZ today and Thursday followed by a decline Friday. Rainfall is expected to remain mainly to the northeast and east. But gusty winds from distant thunderstorms will be more likely. The approach of a larger weather system moving into the Western states over the weekend will lead to southwesterly breezy to windy conditions in the late afternoons and early evenings Friday through Sunday.

Daily average Particulates are expected to remain in the Good range. Of note, there may be short lived periods of elevated hourly values (mainly in the mornings and late night) but those are not expected to be high enough to push the daily averages out of the Good range.
