Forecast Discussion:
Near normal temperatures are expected today with variable cloudiness. Spotty shower activity can be expected over Yuma County but measurable rain in town is unlikely. High temperatures ramp up Wednesday and again Thursday to well above normal levels with little change through Saturday. In fact, the National Weather Service has issued an Extreme Heat Watch for Thursday through Monday.
Peak 8 hour average Ozone levels each day are expected to remain in the upper Good range through Friday (aided by favorable wind patterns) before climbing into the Moderate range Saturday.
Daily average Particulate levels are expected to remain in the Good range due to a lack of strong winds but otherwise beneficial ventilation.
Peak ventilation Wednesday is expected to be Good and increase to Very Good Thursday and Excellent Friday and Saturday.
