Forecast Discussion:
Light winds can be expected today before southerly breezy to windy conditions return Thursday through Sunday. The approach of a Pacific weather system will lead to a cooling trend over the weekend.
Peak 8 hour average Ozone is expected to be well into the Moderate range today followed by an improving trend reaching the upper Good range by Friday with some additional improvement over the weekend due to better ventilation.
Daily average Particulates are expected to remain in the Good range. Of note, there may be brief localized pockets of dust near fallow farm fields and construction sites during the breeziest times of day. But this is not anticipated to be enough to push the daily average out of the Good range.
Peak daily ventilation is expected to be Very Good today and Excellent Thursday through Sunday.
