On May 8, 2026, the comment period begins for the proposal to close the Leaking Underground Storage Tank (UST) release case for Red Mesa Express #505 in Coconino County, Arizona. The comment period ends June 9, 2026.
Leaking UST Case File No.: 4927.01-.03
Arizona regulations allow case closure at leaking UST sites with groundwater contamination at levels above the Arizona Aquifer Water Quality Standards (AWQS) if it can be demonstrated that there is no exposure risk to public health and any remaining contamination is attenuating. We evaluated site-specific conditions and analytical data and determined that the case meets the regulatory requirements for closure.
